IN-STUDIO means that the students come to study in my home studio in Pearland. For Lessons where I travel to the client
please see Art a La Carte Lessons.
Curriculums are based on the students age and talent.
Generally Curriculums are planned
on a 2 semester basis which consists of 13-17 lessons each semester, depending on start and end date. There is also a summer semester
available for students interested in continuing classes during that time.
I tend to plan it on a three month rotation of drawing,
painting and sculpture for the General Art lessons.
Often students will be introduced to a new concept in one lesson and then
it's following lesson will reinforce those concepts so that I can make sure the student understands it and can apply it before moving
on the next concept.
Students under the age of ten receive Art Appreciation lessons as part of their curriculum.
Students
ten and older begin with the beginning of Art History and steadily move towards Modern Day over a period of years.
As with any
other skill, art requires practice. Students should have a sketchbook where they can practice and work through problems of their own
according to the homework assignments given to them.
